We've all been there. It's 10 PM, the exam is at 9 AM tomorrow, and you haven't opened the book. While we strongly advocate for spaced repetition, if you must cram, do it strategically.
1. Triage the Syllabus
You cannot learn everything in 8 hours. Look at the syllabus document and identify the highly-weighted topics. Focus ONLY on the core concepts. Ignore the obscure exceptions.
2. Skip the Textbook, Go to Past Papers
Do not try to read the textbook cover to cover. Go straight to RevisionGrid and open the last 3 years of past papers. Look at the Mark Schemes directly. Reverse-engineer the answers. Memorize the recurring 4-mark and 6-mark questions.
3. Sleep is Non-Negotiable
If you stay up all night, your cognitive function will plummet to the level of someone legally intoxicated. You will make careless errors (e.g., writing 2+2=5). You must get at least 4-5 hours of sleep, specifically during the deep REM cycles, to consolidate whatever you just crammed.
4. Hydrate and Eat Light
Avoid massive sugar rushes and heavy carbs before the exam, which lead to a crash. Drink water and eat a banana.
